As Valentine's Day Approaches, Lilia Al Atrash Searches for a Lover

Syrian artist Lilia Al Atrash expressed her dissatisfaction with her loneliness as Valentine's Day approaches, which is just about two weeks away.

Al Atrash indicated that she has become embarrassed about the arrival of this day while being in her current situation. She wrote on her private Instagram story: “By God, I am ashamed of Valentine's Day. Every year it comes and finds me alone,” confirming that she is still single and has no one in her life. It seems her followers criticized her for spelling mistakes, so she posted another story saying: “I swear I know it’s 'the great one,' and if you want 'Valentine' not 'Falentine.'” She jokingly added in another story: “And ‘mestyhia’ not ‘mistahi’ and if not ‘if’… guys what are you so picky about?”

On another note, it was reported that Lilia Al Atrash contracted the coronavirus a few weeks ago, as she announced on her Facebook page, indicating that her test result came back positive. In an interview with a media outlet, she stated that she hadn’t mingled with anyone recently and had been adhering to necessary precautions. She described waking up in the morning feeling exhausted as if she had been hit on the head, expressing that she felt: “I woke up early in the morning as if something hit me on the head and my body was broken as if I had been beaten up, so I suspected it was a cold.”

Al Atrash noted that "mate" helped her detect the infection since she tried to taste her drink of cardamom and lemon with "mate," but could not. She then called a nurse for testing to confirm her infection along with her sister, who lives with her. She expressed her astonishment at how the virus reached her, questioning whether it was from “delivery” or the money she handles, especially since she claims not to have seen anyone recently and has mostly stayed at home.

Regarding her health condition, Lilia Al Atrash stated that she is feeling much better but is worried about some symptoms that may arise, such as a fever, concluding with wishes for health, safety, and a speedy recovery for all those infected with this pandemic.

It is worth noting that Lilia Al Atrash's latest work is the second part of the series "Al Harmalek," written by Suleiman Abdel Aziz, directed by Tamer Ishaq, and produced by Clacket Media, which aired during the last Ramadan season. She played the character "Ater" and also participated in the series "Harakat Banat" as "Sara."
