The health status of actress Yasmin Abdel Aziz has brought to mind the file of artists who have suffered from negligence and medical errors. Some lost their lives, while others experienced complete comas and had to undergo multiple surgeries to return to their normal lives.

After actor Ahmed El Awady announced on social media that Yasmin Abdel Aziz underwent surgery on Saturday evening to remove an ovarian cyst, the Egyptian star suffered a medical error during the operation, which resulted in her entering a complete coma.

Previously, several artists and media personalities have also faced medical errors and negligence, leading to physical and psychological suffering. A few months ago, media personality Eman El Hosary suffered a health crisis due to a medical error that occurred during a surgery, deteriorating her condition and forcing her to undergo several operations; she still remains hospitalized.

Similarly, actress Fatma Kashari experienced a severe health crisis that affected her mobility two months ago, leading to her hospitalization after undergoing hernia surgery. During the operation, Fatma suffered a medical error when a doctor forgot a "surgical gauze" inside her abdomen, causing her condition to deteriorate and required a subsequent surgical intervention.

The late actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz also faced a medical error after surgery to repair damage to his teeth, which caused him to contract a virus that later led to cancer spreading throughout his body, resulting in his death.

The late actor Ahmed Rateb died due to a medical error after fluid accumulated in his lungs three months before his death. After the doctor prescribed medication to treat the condition, he forgot to inform him to stop taking it after three months, leading to the actor's death after continuing the treatment.

The prominent director Atef El Tayeb passed away in 1995 at the age of 48, following surgery to replace a heart valve, dying due to a medical error during the procedure.

Despite the significant advancements in hospitals and treatment methods, medical errors still occur, according to Mahmoud Fouad, director of the Egyptian Center for the Right to Medicine. He stated to Sky News Arabia: "We are still unable to eliminate cases of medical negligence, as many issues have become widespread in courts due to this phenomenon."

He added, "There must be legislation against doctors responsible for this issue, as the right to life is an inherent right for every person, and the law must protect this right... No one should be arbitrarily deprived of it."
