Mona Zaki Faces Criticism Over Dala Abdel Aziz

The actress Mona Zaki faced a torrent of criticism on social media after she posted a story from her car on her Instagram account while listening to a song by artist Mohamed Hamaki. The criticism centered around her lack of sensitivity to the atmosphere of mourning that has enveloped the artistic community following the death of actress Dala Abdel Aziz, prompting Zaki to delete the story just minutes after posting it, according to Al-Watan newspaper.

Actress Dala Abdel Aziz passed away due to complications from the coronavirus, which she contracted at the end of April last month, leading to severe lung damage. Ramy Radwan announced the news of her passing on his Twitter account, saying, "The kindest and gentlest heart in the world, my beloved star Dala Abdel Aziz, did not want to leave her loved one alone and has gone to heaven. To Allah we belong and to Him we return; please read Al-Fatiha and pray for them."

The late actor Samir Ghanem had passed away weeks earlier from complications related to the virus, while his wife, actress Dala Abdel Aziz, suffered health issues due to the lasting effects of the infection on her respiratory system and lungs. In the same context, actor Hassan El Raddad, husband of Emi Samir Ghanem, confirmed Ramy Radwan's announcement about Abdel Aziz's death, saying, "The kindest of God's creation... I have never seen anything but good from you, my dear... May God forgive you and have mercy on you, and may we be reunited in the hereafter."

The late actress presented numerous works on stage, including "Fakh al-Saada al-Zawjiya," "Hala Habibti," "Fares w Beny Kheiban," "Akhoya Heyas w Ana Laes," "Hob fi al-Takhshiba," and "Gawaza Talyani." On television, she became famous for her role as "Nagaa" in the series "Layali al-Hilmeya" and later in series such as "La," "Lil'Adala Wujoh Katheera," "Hadith al-Sabah wa al-Masaa," "Al-Nas fi Kafr Askar," "Ibn al-Arandali," "Haq Mayit," "Al-Horoub," "Sabaa Jar," and "Valentino."

In cinema, she participated in dozens of films, including "Ya Rab Walad," "Bir al-Khayana," "Banat Haratina," "Al-Bolus al-Nisa'i," "Sir'a al-Zawajat," "Al-Nawm Fi al-Asal," "Mabrouk w Bulbul," and "Asrar al-Banat." As she aged, she excelled in portraying the role of a mother in a non-stereotypical manner in films such as "Asif Ala Al-Iz'aaj," "La Tarja'a Wa La Istislam.. Al-Qabdah al-Damiya," "Qalb Umma," "Al-Badla," and also in the series "Malook al-Ghaddanah," her last work.
