Under the title "Tunisia: Key Political Reactions to Saïed's Decisions," Sky News reported that political forces in Tunisia supported the decisions made by President Kais Saïed, considering them capable of saving the country and establishing stability. The Alliance Party for Tunisia announced its support for all the decisions and measures announced by Saïed, including the dismissal of Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi and the suspension of parliamentary activities. The party stated in a statement that "with its political body and its members, it announces its support for all the decisions and measures announced by the President of the Republic and expresses its full confidence in our military and security forces as well as in the Tunisian administration and all state agencies and institutions to implement them in a manner that achieves social peace and stability in the country." It deemed the statements labeling the decisions of the Tunisian president as a "coup" to be a collection of lies and rumors that distort the facts. The party continued: "The Alliance Party for Tunisia urges the President of the Republic to reassure Tunisian men and women once again that the state is proceeding along the path of democracy and pluralism, ensuring public and private freedoms."
**Decisions According to the Constitution**
The People's Movement in Tunisia viewed that Kais Saïed did not deviate from the constitution with his decisions and acted according to what his responsibilities mandated within the legal framework. It stated in a declaration that the President's decisions were driven by the desire to protect the homeland, ensure the country's security and independence, and guarantee the normal functioning of state affairs. It expressed its "support for the decisions issued by the President of the Republic and considers them a way to correct the course of the revolution that was violated by opposing forces, primarily the Ennahda Movement and the entire ruling system."
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Popular Current, Zouheir Hamdi, confirmed in a television interview with Midi Show that his party supports all decisions made by President Kais Saïed and advocates for establishing a clear roadmap in this regard. He added: "The people who have led us to this impasse for years bear the responsibility for these decisions... and what the president has done falls within the scope of his powers."
**Opposition**
The Democratic Current party announced its disagreement with the Tunisian president regarding his interpretation of Article 80 of the country's constitution and rejects the resulting decisions and actions as unconstitutional. It asserted that it "sees no solution except within the framework of the constitution," calling on the President of the Republic and all democratic, civil forces and national organizations to unite efforts to lead the country out of the crisis while respecting democracy, human rights, and combating political corruption. However, the party's deputy, Samia Abbou, considered the President's decisions as a restoration of state authority, describing in a radio interview the leader of the Ennahda Movement, Rached Ghannouchi, as an irresponsible person. She stated that it was the parliament that violated the constitution.
Meanwhile, the Ennahda Movement regarded Saïed's decisions as a coup against it, a sentiment echoed by several political movements close to it, such as the Karama Coalition.
