Syrian artist Lilia Al Atrash shared some of her candid moments with her followers on social media during her leisure visit to Dubai.
She published a photo on her Instagram account while at one of Dubai's beaches, where she appeared in a revealing outfit, wearing a "denim dress" that was open at the legs, captioning the photo: "Good times in Dubai."
Lilia received a number of harsh criticisms for her appearance in this outfit. One person commented: "She’s showing off as Ramadan is approaching and she wants to work," while another wrote: "I used to like her, but I stopped when I saw her not covered up." One follower added: "Does she really have to expose herself like other actresses?" Others took the matter light-heartedly, recalling her character in "Bab Al-Hara," with comments like, "Oh, if Issam saw you like this," "Where is Issam?" and "What a shame, my dear, you weren't like this in Bab Al-Hara." The photo circulated on social media with the hashtag "Latifa is out and about."
Lilia Al Atrash later posted another video of herself at the beach dancing to the tune of Amr Diab's song "Amakin Al Sahar," using a suitable snippet from the song. She captioned the video saying: "At the sea, if the waves calm down."
Recently, the Syrian artist Lilia Al Atrash announced via her Facebook page that she had contracted the coronavirus, stating that she underwent a test and the result was positive. In a media interview, she said she had not mixed with anyone recently and had been maintaining the necessary precautionary measures. She expressed that she woke up feeling exhausted, as if she had been hit on the head, saying: "I woke up early and felt like something hit me on the head, and my body felt broken as if I was hit hard, so I suspected I had a cold."
The artist noted that "mate" helped reveal her infection, as she tried to taste what she was drinking with cardamom and lemon but couldn't. She then contacted a nurse for a test, confirming her infection along with her sister who lives with her. She expressed her surprise at how the virus reached her, questioning whether it could be from delivery or cash, especially since she asserts she hasn’t seen anyone recently and has mostly stayed at home.
Regarding her health status, Lilia Al Atrash stated that she is feeling much better but is concerned about some symptoms that may arise, like a fever. She concluded by wishing health, safety, and a speedy recovery for all those infected with this pandemic.
It is worth noting that Lilia Al Atrash's latest work was the second part of the series "Al-Harmlk," written by Suleiman Abdel Aziz, directed by Tamer Issak, and produced by Clacket Media and Artistic Production, which aired during the last Ramadan season, where she played the character "Etrar." She also participated in the series "Harakat Banat," portraying the character "Sara."
