Title: In Pakistan: A Secret Room, Torture, and Horrific Violations in a Hospital Shrouded in Mystery

Pakistani police recently arrested a supervisor at a hospital in Lahore after video clips surfaced showing him committing horrific violations against patients in a "secret room" within the hospital. The abuses occurred at Mayo Hospital in Lahore, where Zaheeb Malik, a security and maintenance supervisor, filmed himself beating patients. Following the leak of torture footage on social media, police intervened and arrested Malik, according to the "Vice" website.

Police have gathered evidence of violations committed by Malik over the past three months, during which he recorded torture sessions in a secret room. According to police investigations, Malik would bring in sick or injured individuals suspected of committing crimes such as property damage, theft, or harassment. A police official described Malik's actions as behaving like a judge in his own court, where he would interrogate individuals and resort to violence if they did not cooperate or confess.

The police are still uncertain why Malik recorded such violations, which included beating and hair-pulling, among other forms of torture. Authorities suspect other staff members may have assisted Malik, and the hospital's medical supervisor has been suspended. Additionally, a three-member investigative committee has been formed to conduct further inquiries.
