Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi announced from the operations room at the ministry that "we are witnessing the final stages of preparations for the electoral process, which began this morning with the distribution of ballot boxes, and our determination to carry out this process is through the will of the Lebanese people." Mawlawi stated in an interview with MTV: "We assure you that we are transparent and present in the operations room, and the voices of citizens will be conveyed transparently. We will announce the results transparently and inform the citizens that the results will be announced as soon as possible." He added, "We will announce voter turnout rates every two hours, and we will be transparent to the fullest extent. We will overcome all challenges; generators are available, and diesel is available. More than 80,000 personnel will be distributed across all polling stations, and we have implemented multiple emergency plans with maintenance teams on standby." He continued, "We urge citizens to vote in large numbers, as your vote makes a difference. The stance is in voting; in the employees' elections, 84% of them voted, and we call on citizens to contribute to Lebanon's future."
