Safaa Sultan Responds Harshly to a Girl Who Called Her a Criminal

Syrian actress Safaa Sultan was attacked by a follower on social media.

The attack came following Sultan's recent statements in a television interview regarding women's rights organizations that advocate for the criminalization of child marriage. She expressed that she sees no problem with girls under the age of 18 getting married, which sparked widespread reactions on social media. A girl named "Rama" commented, "Women's rights organizations are the reason you are living the comfortable life you are in. Child marriage is a crime, and just by supporting it, you are a criminal... I will cancel my support for empty-minded celebrities like you."

The Syrian actress expressed her dissatisfaction and replied to the follower's comment, saying: "And I don't care about your support because you clearly don’t understand or even listened to what I said. I can't believe the ignorance and copy-paste mentality that you people follow."

It is noteworthy that Safaa Sultan denied previous rumors circulating about the number of her marriages, confirming that she has been married twice in her life, not three times as rumored. She stated that her first marriage was to Mr. Waseem Nour al-Din, who is the General Manager at Microsoft in the USA and is the father of her daughter "Amal." Her second marriage was secretive, and she did not disclose further details about it.
