The Army Command issued several statements regarding training exercises and ammunition explosions in various areas.
The National News Agency reported that the Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued multiple statements about training exercises and ammunition explosions in several regions. The statement clarified that from January 31, 2021, until February 26, 2021, from 7:00 AM until completion, army units will conduct training exercises in the following training fields: Mazraat Hnouch-Hamat, Bolonia, Brumana-Aiyoun, Ain Saadeh, Hariri Complex-Kfarfalous, and Zahrani facilities, which will involve the use of both blank and live ammunition with light and medium weapons. The Army Command urged citizens and owners of fishing and recreational boats not to approach the exercise areas at the specified times and locations.
The statement also noted that a unit of the army will conduct daytime and nighttime training exercises from February 1, 2021, until March 1, 2021, in the areas of Hadath Jbaa, Dayman, Hasroun, Jabal al-Arouba, Qammoua, Wadi Khaled, Akroum, Jabal al-Malih, Ras Masqa, Koura, Jroud al-Dinniyeh, Bsharri, and Ehden - North, which will include live and blank ammunition firing.
On January 31, February 1, and February 2, 2021, between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM daily, an army unit will conduct training exercises at the Saeed Khalil Barracks - Hammana, involving the use of blank ammunition. On February 1 and 2, 2021, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, an army unit will conduct training exercises in the Mazraat Hnouch-Hamat training field, involving the use of live ammunition with light, medium, and heavy weapons.
An army unit will conduct training exercises at the Tarball training camp on February 1 and 4, 2021, which will include live ammunition firing. The army will also detonate shells and defective ammunition on January 31, 2021, starting at 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM, in the Tarball - Tripoli explosion range.
On January 19 and 21, 2021, and February 19, 2021, between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, training firing will be conducted at the Hnouch-Hamat shooting range, involving the use of live ammunition with machine guns, anti-tank launchers, hand grenades, and explosives. From January 18, 2021, until February 18, 2021, daytime and nighttime training exercises will be held at the Tarball training camp, involving live and blank ammunition firing, as well as the use of explosives, sound bombs, and smoke grenades.
On January 4, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 30, 2021, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM daily, training exercises will be held in the Aqoura area, involving the use of light weapons and sniper shooting. Additionally, an army unit will conduct daytime and nighttime training exercises from January 1, 2021, until February 1, 2021, in the areas of Hadath Jbaa, Dayman, Hasroun, Jabal al-Arouba, Qammoua, Wadi Khaled, Akroum, Jabal al-Malih, Ras Masqa, Koura, Jroud al-Dinniyeh, Bsharri, and Ehden - North, involving the use of live and blank ammunition.
