Salem Al-Hindi, the CEO of Rotana Audio and Visual Company, stated that reports circulated in a TV segment featuring artist Elissa are unfounded.
He clarified that it was claimed that Rotana declared that 40% of their profits come from Elissa's success and revenues, while the remaining 60% is the total revenue from all Rotana artists. Al-Hindi stated he never disclosed such figures, noting, "We always say that Elissa is one of the distinguished stars at Rotana, but we have never revealed figures regarding her earnings. As for the contract between us, it has ended, and our doors are open for her. This is ultimately her home. We have achieved great successes together, and if a new agreement is reached between us, there is no doubt a new contract with Elissa will be made."
Al-Hindi revealed in his appearance with media personality Said Al-Hariri that the company is open to all digital music applications and various broadcasting platforms. He commented, "As an artistic company, we need fuel, that is, revenues that help sustain production, balancing it with payments made. Our work today with the 'Deezer' application embodies that; in my view, this application is of high quality, and the audience is very pleased with the tangible results. At the same time, we presented the 'Fan Box' application to broadcast events, activities, and concerts live or any exclusive content in high quality, which all serves the benefit of listeners and viewers."
He added that they are continuing production with Lebanese artists, who are ultimately Arab artists, and the Arab world is expanding for them. He hopes for improved conditions in Lebanon.
Salem Al-Hindi mentioned that the album of artist Abdul Majeed Abdullah is nearly ready and will be released during the upcoming holiday, while artist Mohammed Abdu continues to produce singles. When asked about the possibility of collaborating with Assala on a Middle Eastern Egyptian album or if it will be limited to Gulf albums, he said, "The Gulf is also considered Arab, but collaborations with Assala are certainly ongoing both in Gulf and Arab contexts, as well as with the great artist Angham, both of whom released beautiful and distinctive albums."
It is worth noting that Salem Al-Hindi spoke about the opening of Rotana's main office in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, stating, "The significant openness occurring in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia necessitated moving the company's headquarters to Riyadh to be close to decision-makers and major projects being implemented in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, there is a considerable number of Saudi artists on the scene, so it was essential for the company to be present here to serve them."
