Discover One of Steve Jobs' Biggest Secrets!

Under the title "One of Steve Jobs' Secrets... He Only Turned Off His Phone for One Reason," the Al-Hurra channel's website published a translated article discussing a secret about Steve Jobs. The site noted that the first solution when facing a problem with your mobile device is to turn it off and restart it. However, one of Steve Jobs' secrets, revealed by his assistant Naz Behshteh in a book, is that he never turned off his phone except for one specific reason.

Behshteh states that Jobs only turned off his device in a "rare" situation. According to her, turning off the phone sends a message to others that what you are doing at that moment is so important that you cannot focus on anything else, and everything else can wait.

Behshteh explained that the reason or the "rare situation" in which Jobs would turn off his phone was when he was at the office of the then-Chief of Design, Jony Ive, where he felt he belonged “away from the meetings that haunt us all day.”

She added that often “we see ourselves as unproductive at work unless we write a report or make an impact in our inbox (via email),” but Jobs had a different perspective. He was willing to disconnect from communications when he was "playing" in the design lab, where he found his space "to laugh, imagine, and create."

She mentioned that she “quickly discovered how important playtime was for Jobs and how it was one of the keys to his success as a great innovator. If we couldn't reach him at any time, we would go to Ive's office.”

The scientific benefit of turning off your cell phone, according to Behshteh, is that you send signals to your brain that "it’s okay to disconnect" and stop responding to external stimuli, whether from messages, emails, or various notifications.
