A nurse has made a remarkable recovery from "COVID-19" after being given a dose of the drug "Viagra" as part of an experimental treatment that pulled her out of a coma lasting several weeks. According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail," the 37-year-old nurse, who recovered thanks to a treatment typically prescribed for men's erectile dysfunction, spent 28 days in a coma.
Nurse Monica Almeida, from the British area of Henbrough, received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine but contracted the virus on October 31. She was hospitalized on November 9. A week later, the nurse was transferred to the intensive care unit, and it was decided to place her in a "medically induced coma," a choice made by doctors while they sought a solution for her condition.
The recovering patient explained that doctors were only three days away from turning off the ventilator when she began to improve, waking up on December 14. Upon waking, doctors at Lincoln County Hospital informed the patient that they had given her a dose of "Viagra" as part of an experimental treatment she had consented to while fully aware.
The "Viagra" medication helps facilitate a smoother blood flow throughout the body by relaxing the walls of blood vessels, which contributed to the nurse's recovery within just a week. The nurse stated that she joked with doctors when she awoke from her coma and realized she had taken Viagra, describing her recovery from COVID-19 as a Christmas miracle.
The respiratory nurse experienced extremely severe symptoms after contracting the virus, losing her senses of smell and taste, and her cough began to be mixed with blood. Her oxygen levels drastically decreased, and by the time she was admitted to the hospital, she was unable to breathe due to COVID-19 complications. The nurse's health condition deteriorated significantly to the point where her parents traveled from Portugal to say goodbye, believing she would not overcome COVID-19 due to reaching a critical stage of the illness; however, the "Viagra" had a miraculous effect.
