Loyalty to the Resistance: Budget Approval is a Necessary Step for Any Reform Action

The "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc stated in a statement following its regular meeting at its headquarters in Haret Hreik, chaired by MP Mohammad Raad, that "Ashura sails through the waves of history, shaping pages of pride for humanity and shining with the illuminations of light and awareness. It injects into the breaths of those yearning for justice and dignity the spirit of constant readiness for change, reform, and the renewal of life in all its dimensions and levels, seeking the path of righteousness and human ascent towards perfection, where selfishness, isolation, racism dwindle at its thresholds. The idols of polytheism, hatred, malice, and greed crumble before it, allowing societies to live civilizational behavior and shine with the values of faith, truth, goodness, and fairness."

The statement noted that "with every event where injustice and falsehood are present, there are those who rise against them, brandishing the sword to rectify them. Ashura, with its stances, values, and uniqueness, contributes to the creation of an additional transformation that transcends time and place, and shouts in the face of tyrants that 'humiliation is unacceptable for us' and 'I see death only as happiness, and life with the oppressors only as dissatisfaction.'"

The bloc expressed its solidarity with "the Lebanese people in their suffering caused by the injustice prevailing in the country, whether due to the erratic government performance or the external pressures aimed at extorting them politically and nationally."

It announced that it "is closely monitoring the delineation of Lebanon's maritime borders, the special economic zone, and the gas fields within Lebanese sovereignty. This is with regard to the national right that must be reclaimed and protected, and the importance of petroleum resources in addressing Lebanon's monetary, financial, economic, and developmental crises." Additionally, it praised "the precise performance of the resistance and bets on its vigilance and effective readiness to reinforce Lebanon's sovereign right," confirming that "time is not open for the Zionists to resolve this issue."

The bloc called on "all significant national forces in Lebanon to sense the risks of slipping into a vacuum at the level of the executive authority and not to waste time regarding efforts that should notably accelerate in forming a fully empowered government capable of fulfilling its duties in facing constitutional and national challenges, and addressing the burdens of the country, especially since the crises have reached critical points in all levels, particularly the education crisis as we approach a new school year that is threatened and concerning."

It emphasized that "the approval of the state budget represents a necessary step for any spending on the one hand and for any reform action on the other," hoping that "the Finance and Budget Committee will complete its discussions on the budget project as soon as possible to be voted on in the general assembly of the council," while expressing confusion at "the inexplicable delay in approving a comprehensive plan for financial and economic recovery and the slowdown in drafting related reform legislations."

The bloc also praised "the heroism of the Islamic Jihad movement and the harmony of the Palestinian resistance factions within the unity of the arenas in the occupied Palestinian homeland," commending "the resilience of the Palestinian people and their bravery in confronting the treacherous Zionist aggression and thwarting its attempt to change the deterrent equation that was solidified by the results of the Sword of Al-Quds confrontation last year," asking God for "mercy for the martyrs, leaders, and righteous fighters, and healing for the wounded," and affirming the "necessity of releasing Palestinian prisoners and detainees from the Zionist jails and rejecting all attempts at dilution and extortion at the expense of their freedom."
