The city of Ma'rib and its densely populated neighborhoods faced intense missile bombardment during the early hours of Sunday. The Ma'rib Governorate's website reported that the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia launched 7 ballistic missiles within two hours early today, targeting residential areas and displacement gatherings in Ma'rib. The site conveyed that there were civilian casualties and injuries from the shelling, in addition to creating a state of panic due to the violent attack. This Houthi shelling comes after the militias suffered significant losses among their personnel and military equipment on the southern front of Ma'rib. Military sources told Al Arabiya and Al Hadath correspondents that the Houthi bombardment of the city coincided with a large mobilization and assault by the militias from the Sand Axis and Qurn al-Bour in the southern front. The source confirmed that the army and resistance forces repelled the attack and conducted a counter-offensive, during which they disabled 3 Houthi vehicles and seized light and medium weapons, as well as killing more than 20 Houthi elements at the sites. The National Army had targeted a recently established weapons storage area used by the militias in the mountain range between Radhah and Mal'ah Pass.
### Minister's Condemnation of Houthi Attacks
For his part, Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani expressed his strongest condemnation of the terrorist Houthi militia's crime, targeting a mosque in the Al-Alam area of Shabwa Governorate during the Maghrib prayer with an Iranian-made ballistic missile. Al-Eryani stated in a series of tweets on his Twitter account on Saturday evening that the Houthi militias have a notorious record of targeting mosques and killing worshipers in Ma'rib, al-Bayda, Shabwa, Taiz, and other regions in Yemen, using ballistic missiles and drones. He described these crimes as terrorist acts that reveal the bloodthirstiness and savagery of the Houthi militias, adding: "The Houthi militias continue their systematic killing of civilians in various areas under the sight and hearing of the international community, which fails to even condemn these terrorist acts, let alone fulfill its legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibilities to protect civilians and ensure that those responsible for these horrific crimes do not escape punishment." He also called on the international community, the United Nations, the UN and US envoys, and human rights organizations to condemn this crime and all the killing committed by the Houthi militias against civilians, and to work on listing them among terrorist organizations and pursuing and prosecuting their leaders as "war criminals."
### Previous Attack
It is noteworthy that earlier on Saturday, 3 children were injured in an attack by the Houthi terrorist militia using a drone laden with explosives, targeting students as they were leaving Al-Wahda School in the Harib district south of Ma'rib Governorate. The Houthi militia had also shelled the city of Ma'rib with a ballistic missile the previous Friday, resulting in the death of 3 children in Harib.
