Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamie tweeted: "In order to ensure that Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut meets internationally accepted safety standards, work has begun today on the ground to mark the navigation lines on the runways, taxiways, and the aircraft parking area, so that Lebanon's gateway to the world remains a point of appreciation and leadership at all times."
