A correspondent from Russia Today in Iraq reported on Wednesday that the capital Baghdad witnessed tight security measures ahead of the parliament session. It was noted that security forces closed some roads since the previous night in anticipation of any protests that might coincide with the parliament session today. Furthermore, it was mentioned that "Baghdad experienced heavy traffic on Wednesday morning, forcing some citizens to walk long distances to reach their intended destinations."
