Black Market Dollar Approaches Highest Levels

The black market dollar continues its significant rise. In morning trading today, it touched 36,000 Lebanese pounds. It recorded 35,900 Lebanese pounds for selling to exchange dealers and 36,000 pounds for buying one dollar from them. The dollar soared last May, surpassing the 37,000 level for the first time in Lebanon's history, prompting exceptional measures from the "central bank" by increasing the flow of dollars through the "Sayrafa" platform, which led to a significant drop in the dollar at that time. Now, the dollar is rising once again, nearing its previous high levels.
