According to information, all electricity generation plants in Lebanon are out of service except for the Litani plant, which is a hydroelectric facility, awaiting Iraqi fuel by the end of September. The Electricité du Liban institution explained to MTV that it did not shut down the plants due to the depletion of Iraqi fuel. It pointed out that the fuel stock is sufficient for a month in the Zouk Mikayel and Jiyeh plants to produce about 150 megawatts, but due to the invasion of the Jiyeh plant and the threats received due to the smoke from the Zouk plant, it was decided not to operate the plants.
