Leaders of the 27 member states of the European Union have agreed to "work on measures" aimed at stopping the rise in energy prices. The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, announced in a tweet: "Unity and solidarity prevail. Agreement to work on measures to contain energy prices for households and businesses."
