The head of the Farmers' Union in Baalbek, Ibrahim Al-Tarshishi, confirmed that "Lebanese agricultural products are still being exported abroad normally, and they are free from any epidemics." He explained during a television interview that "these products undergo various laboratory tests daily to ensure the safety of agricultural production," affirming that "Lebanese agricultural production has not been affected by the cholera epidemic and is safe and healthy." Al-Tarshishi pointed out that "the recent rainfall has led to an increase in water purity," emphasizing "the absence of cholera infections due to vegetables and fruits."
