The President of the Constitutional Council, Judge Tannous Mashlab, announced that the council unanimously rejected 5 parliamentary appeals, which are: Paul Hamid against Elias Khoury (Tripoli), Mohammed Shafiq Hamoud against Bilal Al-Husseimi (Zahle), Ibrahim Aazar against Said Al-Asmar (Jezzine), Tanios Mahfouz against Jamil Aboud (Tripoli), and "Hope and Loyalty" against Firas Hamdan (Hasbaya-Marjayoun). He added: "The speculations were misplaced, and no one asked me about any file or exerted any pressure on me."
