French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced via his Twitter account that he will visit Lebanon to spend New Year's Eve with French soldiers in UNIFIL in southern Lebanon. He also stated that he will visit "the site of the explosion at the Port of Beirut, where French military elements cooperated closely with Lebanese army personnel."
