The Japan Meteorological Agency announced that a 4.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded near the coasts of Fukushima Prefecture. It noted that the epicenter of the earthquake is located 60 kilometers below the ocean floor. No injuries, damage, or tsunami threats have been reported as a result of the earthquake. There is also no information regarding any emergencies at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
