Workers in the nursing sector across the United Kingdom have voted in favor of organizing a national strike to demand a pay increase, as announced by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). This move comes amidst the country facing record inflation. The organization stated in a release yesterday reported by AFP: "The strike is expected to begin before the end of this year," indicating that "a large number of the biggest hospitals in England will be affected" by this social movement. It clarified that "the strike will include public health institutions where the majority of nurses have voted in favor of the action." The statement quoted RCN official Pat Cullen saying, "The results are clear," noting that "anger has turned into action, and our members have said enough."
