Five illegal migrants lost their lives when a boat carrying them sank off the coast of the "Cesme" area in Izmir, western Turkey. The Turkish Coast Guard stated in a report that their teams rushed to rescue migrants after receiving a report on Friday morning about the sinking of their boat off the coast of "Otcaburun." The teams rescued 14 migrants and recovered the bodies of 5 others. The rescued migrants informed the teams that there was another migrant missing, prompting a search operation for him. The report explained that the Coast Guard's search and rescue efforts continue through a helicopter, a diving team, and 4 boats.
