Hebrew media reported that the final proposal from Washington presented to representatives of Lebanon and Israel regarding the maritime border demarcation is considered a middle ground solution to the longstanding maritime dispute between Beirut and Tel Aviv. The "I24" Hebrew channel clarified that Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid is expected to address the issue in detail at the beginning of today's government meeting. The channel highlighted that the small political-security cabinet is expected to meet next Thursday (after Yom Kippur) and approve the agreement. Additionally, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah affirmed on Saturday that the Lebanese state is the one making the decisions it deems appropriate for the country's interests regarding the demarcation of the southern maritime borders. Nasrallah stated that they are facing critical days in this file, and it will become clear what the position of state officials is and where things are heading.
