Bkerke sources confirmed that Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi is in constant contact with world leaders and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and he is well aware of the reasons preventing the election of a president. For this reason, his appeal to the major countries comes as a call to hold them accountable to pressure for the election of a president as soon as possible. The sources emphasized that Bkerke, which contributed to Lebanon's glory, cannot remain silent about the crimes being committed against Lebanon. They stated that it was incumbent upon the parliament to set an open session for the election until an agreement on a president is reached.
