Iran's judiciary chief, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, announced on Monday the issuance of an amnesty for 22,000 individuals who were arrested during the protests, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA). The country has been experiencing anti-government protests since September, leading to widespread arrests. The Iranian Supreme Leader announced the first amnesty decisions in February.
