Lebanon's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met with King Abdullah II of Jordan during their participation in the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting included Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Bou Habib and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.
During the meeting, King Abdullah reaffirmed his support for Lebanon in overcoming the difficulties it faces in various fields, particularly in aiding military and security forces. He emphasized that he would intensify communications with the concerned countries to expedite steps that could help Lebanon resolve its electricity crisis.
Prime Minister Mikati thanked King Abdullah for his strong interest in Lebanon and for Jordan's support throughout all stages.
