Germany and Japan have agreed to closely cooperate in the field of economic security during the first ever high-level government talks between the two countries, amid tensions related to global supply chains and economic disruptions caused by the war in Ukraine. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Japan today, Saturday, accompanied by six ministers, to discuss ways to reduce his country's dependence on Chinese raw materials.
