The Iraqi Ministry of Transport announced that the seismic observatories in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake on Saturday night in Maysan Province. The agency's report indicated that "the quake had a magnitude of 4.6 and was located 66 km northeast of the city of Amara in Maysan Province."
