Protest by Apple Farmers in Bsharri

A large group of apple farmers in Bsharri staged a protest in various areas of the city. According to widely shared photos on social media, the farmers threw apples in the street and set them on fire in protest against the deteriorating state of the apple farming sector. The details reveal that traders are buying a "basket of apples" from the farmers for no more than 2 US dollars, while the cost of one box is significantly higher.
