The Missouri State Police announced Wednesday that four people were killed due to a tornado that swept through the southeastern part of the state. The National Weather Service reported that the tornado hit the area at 3:30 AM local time (0800 GMT). They added, "It was one of more than ten tornadoes recorded in the Midwest region of the United States overnight."
