The Vatican spokesperson Matteo Bruni stated in a statement today, Thursday, that Pope Francis is recovering after being hospitalized due to a respiratory infection, and he has resumed his work while continuing his treatment. He added, "His Holiness had a good night's rest. His clinical tests are gradually improving, and he continues his scheduled treatment." The statement further noted, "This morning after breakfast, he read some newspapers and resumed his work," highlighting that he was not bedridden and was praying in a small chapel within his hospital wing.
