The Turkish Earthquake Authority reported today that an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale struck central Turkey, with its epicenter in the Sea of Marmara. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center confirmed that a tremor of 3.7 degrees also affected central Turkey at a depth of 5 kilometers.
