The International Monetary Fund announced today, Monday, that its Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva intends to recommend approving Morocco's request for a flexible credit line over two years worth five billion dollars in the coming weeks. It added that its Executive Board held an informal session to review Morocco's request and that Georgieva will support the request, considering "the very strong policy frameworks and achievement record" in Morocco. The Fund stated that the Executive Board is expected to make its decision on this matter in the coming weeks.
