The Union of Hospitals in Lebanon announced that it "held a general assembly chaired by the president, Suleiman Haroun, with the presence of representatives from hospitals, during which the dialysis fee was discussed. It noted the approval of both the Ministry of Public Health and Military Health for raising this fee from L.L. 1,500,000 to L.L. 2,500,000 per hospital, excluding doctors' fees. Therefore, patients covered by these two entities will not incur any additional costs from their personal accounts." The union hoped that "other official guarantor entities would follow this trend soon to avoid imposing any additional costs on their patients."
