German Chancellor Olaf Scholz welcomed the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran to restore relations after years of hostility, but he did not comment on China's role in mediating the agreement. In a press conference held today, Scholz stated, "It is good that Saudi Arabia and Iran want to develop a relationship involving less confrontation with each other, and that can be said about it."
