The Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, confirmed that Dubai is the cleanest city in the world. He tweeted: "Dubai is the cleanest city in the world according to the Global City Power Index published by the Mori Memorial Foundation in Japan for the last three years." He added: "Cleanliness is a civilization... Cleanliness is a culture... Cleanliness is part of faith... Dubai is globally safe... and the cleanest in the world... and, God willing, the most beautiful... Let us keep it safe, stable, and prosperous."
