Chinese official media reported today, Friday, that the "Chinese aircraft carrier (Liaoning) recently conducted drills on air defense and anti-submarine operations in areas of the western Pacific." The military affairs channel of China's National Radio stated on its official account on the Chinese app "Weibo": "The drills aim to practice the combat capability of the aircraft carrier group in distant waters."
