Harry Kane has become the all-time leading scorer for the England national team after increasing his tally to 54 goals by scoring a penalty against Italy in the Euro 2024 qualifiers on Thursday. The Tottenham Hotspur striker found the net shortly before the end of the first half to give his team a 2-0 lead, surpassing Wayne Rooney, with whom he previously shared the record. Kane's goals came in 81 matches, while Rooney scored 53 goals in 120 matches.
