President Joseph Aoun and Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar deliberated over the general state of affairs in Lebanon, focusing particularly on the security situation and the preparatory conference to be held in Paris aimed at supporting the Lebanese army and internal security forces.
Minister Hajjar emphasized the importance of mobilizing the necessary support, which forms a cornerstone for enhancing the state's ability to exert its authority across all Lebanese territories and maintaining security and stability.
Discussions also covered the situation of municipalities, especially those in the south, and the challenges they face amid ongoing Israeli assaults, alongside ways to secure the necessary support for them.
The discussions also included traffic regulations and road safety measures being implemented by the ministry.
