U.S. Central Command announced that a missile attack targeted the Green Village base of the U.S. Army in northeastern Syria, without injuring U.S. forces, coalition troops, or any equipment. The command stated in a statement that three 107mm rockets targeted the base on Sunday, and a fourth rocket was found with launch tubes at the launch site approximately five kilometers away. The Green Village base was targeted last month amid violence between U.S. troops and Iran-backed militants, resulting in at least one American soldier being slightly injured. The incident prompted a U.S. response that resulted in the deaths of two or three militants involved in the attacks. Central Command stated that it is investigating the latest failed attack, which occurred around 7:05 PM local time in Syria (16:05 GMT).
