Eastern Libya forces have found the uranium that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported missing on Wednesday. Khaled al-Mahjoub, the director of the Moral Guidance Department affiliated with the Eastern Libya forces, stated in a press release that they discovered ten barrels of the missing uranium near the border with Chad. However, a separate video released showed workers counting 18 barrels that were found. Al-Mahjoub noted that the site was a storage facility near the Chad border that was visited by the IAEA in 2020 and sealed. He added that the barrels were located about five kilometers from the storage facility, suggesting that a group from Chad raided the facility in hopes of finding weapons or ammunition but left the barrels behind.
