Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced today, Friday, that a meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran, Russia, Syria, and Turkey will be held in Moscow in May, as part of efforts to rebuild Turkish-Syrian relations after years of hostility during the Syrian Civil War. Turkey, a NATO member, has supported both political and armed opposition against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during the 12-year-long civil war and has deployed troops in northern Syria.
