A security source reported today, Wednesday, that an explosion occurred inside the "Khor Al-Zubair" gas station in Basra, southern Iraq. The source stated that "an explosion took place at one of the station's valves, leading to a large fire in a gas transport tank, prompting officials to rush to evacuate the gas-laden tanks for fear of the flames reaching them."
