The Banks Association announced in a statement that "based on the request of Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and in sensitivity to the difficult economic conditions and the need to ensure banking services for all citizens at the end of the month, the Association of Banks in Lebanon has decided to temporarily suspend the strike for a week. An extraordinary general assembly will be called to determine the appropriate position in light of any new developments."
