The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, left his country today heading to Italy for treatment and to complete medical tests, according to the official news agency "KUNA." The 85-year-old Emir was appointed Crown Prince on February 7, 2006, during Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad's reign, and on February 20 of the same year, the National Assembly unanimously endorsed him for the position.
