The President of the Private Schools Teachers' Syndicate, Ni'ma Mahfoud, stated that "on Thursday, teachers' associations, the Teachers' Syndicate, the Liberal Professions Syndicate, and the General Labor Union will meet at the Pharmacists' Syndicate to pressure the political system to elect a president for the republic and restore constitutional life." He added in an interview with "Voice of Lebanon": "We are waiting for a meeting with the Minister of Education and the Prime Minister to discuss securing the minimum requirements for teachers, and if we do not receive promises this week, we will not be able to continue the school year."
