ISIS Claims Responsibility for Killing Deputy Governor of Badakhshan Province in Afghanistan

ISIS announced today, Tuesday, its responsibility for the killing of the deputy governor of Badakhshan province in northern Afghanistan. The organization stated on its Telegram account, "Islamic State fighters successfully parked a car bomb and detonated it on the deputy governor's vehicle as it passed by the entrance of the public court in the city of Faizabad, the provincial capital."
